Marek Michalička

Tennis Coach in Madison, WI

Tennis development is not a destination;
It’s a never-ending Process.

As a former professional and collegiate player, I want to pass my experience on to young athletes. I believe that my story can inspire junior players to dream big. Success doesn’t come overnight; but if you have a positive attitude and you are willing to put in time and effort, your dreams can come true.

Process Tennis.

Bringing together like-minded athletes that are passionate about tennis and motivated to unlock their athletic potential.

First, I think tennis is a sport for life; helping to create a lifelong passion is important to me. Learning proper stroke mechanics, and understanding basic tactics will make your tennis journey way more enjoyable.

Second, I believe that tennis teaches valuable life skills. Besides all the health benefits, young athletes learn discipline, mental toughness, patience, overcoming obstacles, and problem solving just to name a few. I am convinced that all the various skills learned during deliberate practice will drive your success even outside of the tennis court.

Coaching Philosophy.

It’s all about the process.

I use tennis as a vehicle to inspire young players to become independent problem solvers, and to challenge them to become better athletes.

I offer an individual approach focused on long-term technical, tactical, mental and physical development. I structure various drills to improve concentration, persistency, and mental toughness; and I use a game-based approach to challenge decision making under pressure and dealing with adversity.
